CutProof

CutProof is a desktop + web companion that adds real version control to video editing projects. Editors constantly duplicate timelines, lose “final_final” files, and waste hours reconciling notes across exports. CutProof tracks every meaningful change to sequences (cuts, trims, clip swaps, keyframes, audio levels), generates readable diffs, and lets teams branch, compare, and merge edits—like Git, but designed for Premiere/Resolve workflows. It also creates lightweight review links tied to exact timeline states, so feedback always maps back to a specific version. This is not a full editor; it’s a layer that sits on top of existing tools and fixes the collaboration and audit trail problem. AI is used sparingly: to auto-summarize what changed between versions and to convert messy feedback into actionable timeline-linked tasks.
