CutProof is a web + mobile app that helps short-film creators clear music, stock footage, logos, and appearance releases before they submit to festivals or publish online. It guides you through a rights checklist per scene, generates the correct release forms, and stores signed PDFs with an audit trail. The AI layer flags likely clearance issues by scanning your uploaded cut (or script) for recognizable songs, brand marks, and faces, then suggests safer alternatives (royalty-free tracks, blur guidance, or reshoot notes). It also produces a “Clearance Packet” export (ZIP/PDF) that festivals, distributors, or YouTube disputes can review. This isn’t glamorous, but it’s the kind of boring paperwork that regularly kills shorts at the finish line. The goal is to reduce takedowns, festival disqualifications, and last-minute re-edits by making clearance a structured workflow instead of a panic.
