CutRights
CutRights is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps small venues, campus film clubs, micro-festivals, and community cinemas legally screen independent films without weeks of email ping‑pong. The app aggregates rights-holder contact paths, pre-built outreach templates, and a deal workspace to track terms (date, territory, ticketing, minimum guarantee, rev share) and collect signatures. It also includes a simple “rights confidence” checklist so organizers don’t accidentally book a film that’s locked to a distributor or platform window. This is not glamorous: it’s ops software for people who love arthouse but hate admin. Monetization is subscription for organizers plus per-transaction fees for optional contract generation and payment handling. The hard part is data and partnerships, not code—so the MVP focuses on workflow, not a perfect database.
