DACScout
DACScout is a web app (with optional mobile field mode) that helps direct air capture developers and investors shortlist viable project sites in days instead of months. It combines geospatial layers—clean power proximity, grid congestion, heat sources, CO2 pipeline access, storage basins, water stress, permitting sensitivity, land cost proxies, and extreme-weather risk—into a transparent scoring model. Users can draw a region, set constraints (e.g., <30 km to substation, low water stress, storage within 100 km), and instantly generate a ranked list of candidate parcels with a “why it scores” breakdown. It also produces a lender-friendly site memo: assumptions, data sources, red flags, and next-step diligence checklist. This is not a magic MRV tool; it’s a pragmatic pre-development accelerator that reduces wasted engineering cycles on sites that will never pencil out or get permitted.
