DamPulse

DamPulse is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that connects to a hydropower plant’s existing SCADA/historian exports and turns them into simple, operations-ready reliability dashboards and alerts. Instead of trying to “optimize everything,” it focuses on the unglamorous but expensive problems: recurring trips, nuisance alarms, vibration/temperature drift, and slow degradation that leads to forced outages. Users upload scheduled CSV exports or connect via read-only connectors where possible, then get automated tagging of events, root-cause suggestions, and weekly reliability reports that translate technical signals into maintenance actions. It also tracks “bad actor” alarms and recommends alarm rationalization priorities. This is not a magic autopilot—data quality and instrumentation gaps will limit accuracy—but it can still save time by standardizing event review, shortening troubleshooting cycles, and creating a shared reliability narrative across shifts and sites.
