DataReceipt

DataReceipt is a web app (with optional browser extension) that generates a plain-language “data receipt” for any website or app flow you test—signup, checkout, onboarding, support chat. It records what data is requested, what trackers fire, where data is sent, and whether the user is given meaningful choices. Then it produces an ethics-and-compliance scorecard mapped to common expectations (GDPR principles, CPRA notice/choice, dark-pattern heuristics) plus a prioritized fix list. This is not a legal substitute; it’s a practical QA tool for product teams who ship fast and accidentally create privacy debt. The MVP focuses on repeatable audits: run the same flow weekly, detect new vendors/trackers, and flag regressions before launch. Exportable reports help teams communicate issues to engineering, marketing, and leadership without turning every review into a debate.
