DataScope

DataScope is a web app (with optional lightweight desktop agent) that helps companies discover where personal data actually lives, how it flows, and what should be deleted. It connects to common systems (Postgres, Snowflake, S3, Google Drive, Slack exports, Zendesk) and runs privacy-focused scans to identify likely PII/PHI, then builds a living “data inventory” with retention clocks and deletion workflows. The product is built for privacy engineering reality: messy schemas, shadow data, and incomplete documentation. It generates evidence packs for audits (GDPR/CCPA/ISO 27701) and tracks remediation tasks with owners and due dates. This is not magic: it won’t perfectly classify everything, and it will require tuning and sampling. But it can cut weeks of manual mapping into days and make deletion requests and retention enforcement operational instead of spreadsheet theater.
