DataTripwire

DataTripwire is a web app + browser extension that prevents accidental data leaks in everyday tools like Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, Notion, and CRM systems. It classifies text and files in real time (PII, PHI, credentials, customer lists, source code snippets) and blocks or warns before sending, sharing, or uploading outside approved domains and workspaces. Admins set simple policies (e.g., “SSNs never leave org,” “client lists only to approved vendors”) and get an audit trail with minimal content retention to reduce liability. It’s designed for SMBs that can’t afford a full DLP suite: fast setup, limited integrations, and pragmatic coverage focused on the most common leak paths (copy/paste, attachments, link sharing). It’s not a silver bullet against insiders or sophisticated exfiltration, but it meaningfully reduces the most frequent, costly mistakes.
