DealGate is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps investors, advisors, and economic development teams quickly assess whether a cross-border investment is likely to clear regulatory, sanctions, and political-risk hurdles. Users enter a target country, sector, deal structure, counterparties (if known), and timeline. The app returns a practical “clearance risk” summary, a checklist of filings and typical lead times, and a red-flag report (e.g., sensitive sectors, ownership thresholds, state-linked entities, sanctions exposure, and local content requirements). It also tracks capital controls and repatriation constraints that can derail returns. This is not a magic oracle: it’s a structured pre-screening tool that reduces wasted diligence and embarrassing late-stage surprises. It’s designed to be used early—before lawyers and consultants rack up fees—so teams can kill bad deals quickly or re-structure them intelligently.
