DealGuard

DealGuard is a mobile + web app that adds escrow and inspection coordination to private-party and small-dealer used car purchases. Buyer and seller agree on price, terms, and a short inspection window. The buyer funds escrow; the seller schedules a verified third-party inspection (or buyer chooses from a marketplace of inspectors). DealGuard collects photos, OBD scan results, tire/brake measurements, and a standardized road-test checklist, then generates a shareable report. If the car matches the agreed condition, funds release and the app guides title transfer steps by state. If it fails, the buyer can cancel and escrow refunds minus inspection fees. This is not magic: it won’t “guarantee” a perfect car, but it reduces the biggest fear in used cars—getting stuck with a lemon after handing over money—without requiring a dealership.
