DealHydrate is a mobile app that helps shoppers buy beverages at the lowest real price per unit (per oz/ml, per serving, per can) across nearby stores. You scan a barcode or search a drink, pick your preferred size/brand, and the app shows a ranked list of local deals, factoring in loyalty pricing, multi-buy promos, and deposit fees. It also tracks your “usuals” (coffee pods, sparkling water, sports drinks, kids juice) and alerts you when the effective unit price drops below your threshold. The app avoids trying to be a full grocery planner; it focuses narrowly on beverages where price swings and promo tricks are common. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for pricing math and store matching, AI to normalize messy promo text and receipts into comparable unit prices. Monetization: affiliate links where available, plus a $3–$5/month premium for alerts and history.
