It tracks price history across major retailers, flags inflated list prices, and estimates the true discount versus typical selling price. Users can scan a product page URL or barcode in-store to get a quick “Deal Score,” recent price range, and a simple recommendation: buy now, wait, or set an alert. It also highlights common gotchas like bundle trickery, third‑party seller issues, and return policy traps. Realistically, this won’t magically find 90% off unicorn deals—most discounts are modest—but it will save people from wasting money on fake markdowns and bad timing. Monetization is straightforward: freemium alerts, a paid tier for deeper tracking and more stores, and optional affiliate links (with transparency).
