DebiasBrief

DebiasBrief is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams integration) that forces a lightweight “decision pre-mortem” before teams commit to a plan. Users create a one-page decision brief: goal, options, assumptions, evidence, and a confidence rating. The AI then flags likely cognitive traps (confirmation bias, sunk cost, availability, overconfidence, scope neglect) and asks targeted questions tailored to the context (product, hiring, pricing, incident response). It also suggests a minimal test plan: what data would change your mind, fastest experiment, and a stop-loss rule. The output is a shareable brief plus a short “bias audit” summary for stakeholders. This is not therapy or generic self-help; it’s a practical workflow tool for teams that already make decisions fast and want fewer expensive mistakes. Expect resistance: people hate friction—so the app is designed to be completed in under 8 minutes.
