DebrisWatch
DebrisWatch is a web + mobile app that turns public space-object data into practical, understandable alerts and explainers about space debris and satellite breakups. It tracks notable fragmentation events, close-approach “conjunction” headlines, and reentry risks, then summarizes what happened, where it might be visible, and what sources agree or disagree. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional pipelines ingest orbital element datasets and event feeds, while AI generates plain-language briefings, confidence levels, and “what to watch next” timelines. The app is realistic about uncertainty: it flags when data is stale, when predictions are noisy, and when stories are hype. Monetization is straightforward: a free tier for enthusiasts and educators, and a paid tier for journalists, aerospace comms teams, and space-policy orgs who need fast, sourced summaries and embeddable widgets.
