DebtBrief
DebtBrief is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that turns messy public-debt data into a clear, decision-ready dashboard. It pulls sovereign and subnational debt metrics from reputable sources, normalizes definitions (gross vs net, maturity buckets, currency composition), and flags when figures are not comparable. Users can build “risk cards” for a country/region: refinancing wall, interest-to-revenue pressure, FX exposure, and sensitivity to rate and growth shocks. A lightweight AI layer generates plain-English briefs and automatically cites the underlying tables/series so analysts can verify quickly. It’s not a trading terminal; it’s a research and communication tool for people who need to explain debt dynamics to non-specialists. The MVP focuses on a small set of jurisdictions with high-quality data, plus exports for reports and slide decks.
