Deck2Dish is a mobile + web AI app that helps shoppers and small restaurants avoid mislabeled and unsustainably sourced seafood. Users scan a menu item or retail label, then the app cross-checks species, catch method, and origin against public advisories, certification databases, and known high-risk mislabeling patterns. It returns a simple risk score (Low/Medium/High) with plain-language reasons and safer alternatives available in the same region/season. For restaurants, it adds a lightweight supplier log: upload invoices and product specs, then generate a “proof packet” customers can view via QR code. This isn’t blockchain fantasy—most supply chains won’t share perfect data—so the app is honest about uncertainty and flags when verification is weak. The value is faster, clearer decision-making and fewer reputational surprises.
