DecomTrack

DecomTrack is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps utilities, oil & gas operators, and regulators track real-world fossil fuel phaseout progress: plant/well status, retirement dates, decommissioning milestones, remediation tasks, and budget vs. actual spend. It ingests public filings (SEC, regulator dockets), satellite/remote-sensing signals, and operator-reported updates, then normalizes everything into a single “asset retirement ledger.” The product focuses on accountability: evidence links, audit trails, and a clear timeline of what must happen to safely retire assets (plugging, dismantling, site cleanup, methane monitoring). It generates compliance-ready reports and flags schedule slippage, cost overruns, and risk hotspots (e.g., idle wells, orphan liability). This is not a consumer climate app; it’s a workflow tool for people who get fined or sued when decommissioning goes wrong.
