DeductIQ

DeductIQ is a web app (with optional mobile receipt capture) that helps freelancers and small businesses reduce taxes by continuously mapping real transactions to deductible categories and surfacing “actionable” tax moves before year-end. Users connect bank/credit accounts, upload receipts, and set a business profile (entity type, state, industry). The app flags likely missed deductions (home office, mileage, subscriptions, equipment, meals rules), estimates tax impact, and generates an audit-ready evidence pack (receipt, memo, policy note, and categorization rationale). It also runs quarterly “what-if” planning: income smoothing, retirement contributions, estimated tax payments, and entity/expense timing suggestions. It’s not a replacement for a CPA; it’s a pre-CPA optimizer that reduces billable hours and prevents avoidable overpayment. Realistically, success depends on accuracy and trust—bad categorization kills retention fast.
