DeductSnap is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) for freelancers and side-hustlers who constantly lose track of deductible expenses. You forward emails, snap receipts, or connect bank feeds; the app auto-categorizes transactions into tax-ready buckets (home office, mileage, software, meals, etc.) and flags likely write-offs you’re missing. It generates a CPA-friendly export (Schedule C style summaries) and a clean audit trail: receipt image, merchant, date, amount, category, and notes. The app is not a full tax filing product—because competing head-on with TurboTax is a losing battle—but it makes tax time faster and less error-prone. It also estimates quarterly taxes based on income/expense trends and reminds users before deadlines. The goal is simple: reduce panic, reduce missed deductions, and reduce accountant billable hours.
