DeepWorkCam

DeepWorkCam is a desktop app (macOS/Windows) that uses your webcam locally to detect when you’re drifting: looking at your phone, leaving your seat, frequent gaze shifts, or obvious multitasking patterns. It doesn’t try to “motivate” you with quotes; it’s a blunt accountability tool for people who keep breaking focus without noticing. You start a session (25/50/90 minutes), pick what counts as a distraction, and the app quietly tracks. When distraction crosses your threshold, it triggers a friction action you choose: dim the screen, pause music, lock distracting apps, or require a short “reset” prompt before continuing. All processing is on-device by default; no video is uploaded, and you can run it with the camera feed hidden. You get simple weekly reports: focus streaks, top distraction patterns, and which interventions actually worked.
