Deescalate is a mobile + web AI app that helps people rewrite emotionally charged messages into calmer, clearer language without sounding robotic. You paste a draft text/email/DM, choose the relationship (partner, coworker, manager, friend) and goal (set boundary, apologize, ask for change, disagree), and it generates 3 toned options: “gentle,” “direct,” and “firm.” It also flags likely triggers (absolutes, blame, mind-reading) and suggests replacements, plus a one-tap “repair line” if the conversation already escalated. A short “context card” lets you add key facts and what you’re willing to concede, so the output stays realistic. The app stores templates for recurring conflicts (late payments, chores, scope creep) and offers a private “cooldown timer” that nudges you to wait before sending when sentiment is too hot.
