DelayProof
DelayProof is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that forecasts subway delay risk for your specific trip, not just the line. It combines official GTFS-realtime feeds (where available), historical headway patterns, station dwell-time behavior, planned work alerts, and user-confirmed incident reports to output a simple “Delay Risk” score and an ETA range with confidence. The app focuses on commuter decisions: leave now vs. 10 minutes later, which entrance to use, which transfer is least likely to collapse, and when it’s smarter to take a bus/ridehail. It also includes a lightweight “proof” mode: users can submit a timestamped platform/train photo or quick tap confirmation to validate crowd reports and reduce spam. Realistically, it won’t be perfect—many agencies have messy data—but even a 10–20% improvement over generic ETAs is valuable for daily riders.
