DepotWatt is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps fleet managers and facility teams plan and operate EV depot charging around real utility constraints. It ingests vehicle routes, dwell windows, charger inventory, and the site’s interval meter data to simulate charging schedules and predict peak demand charges before they happen. The app produces a “least-cost” charging plan, flags days when the depot will exceed electrical capacity, and recommends operational fixes (staggered plug-in times, charger power caps, or limited mid-day top-ups). It also generates utility-ready reports for make-ready upgrades and rate-plan comparisons, because many fleets underestimate how much tariffs and demand charges can erase fuel savings. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional optimization and rules drive reliability, while AI assists with anomaly detection, forecasting, and explaining tariff impacts in plain language.
