DeprecationHQ

DeprecationHQ is a web app (with optional CLI) that manages API change and deprecation workflows across teams and external consumers. It tracks endpoints, versions, and breaking-change risk, then automates announcements, timelines, and acknowledgements. Instead of trying to replace full API gateways or documentation suites, it plugs into what companies already use (OpenAPI/Swagger, GitHub/GitLab, Postman, Kong/Apigee) and focuses on the messy part everyone neglects: coordinated, auditable deprecations. It provides a “consumer impact” view by mapping known clients (SDKs, apps, partner integrations) to endpoints and alerting when a change will break them. It also generates deprecation notices, migration guides, and status pages, and enforces simple policies like minimum notice periods and required comms. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI drafts comms and migration notes, but humans approve.
