DetailRelay

DetailRelay is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) for small-to-mid architecture and residential design teams to manage RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications without the overhead of enterprise construction platforms. It centralizes questions from contractors, attaches the relevant drawing/detail, assigns an owner, and produces a clean decision log that’s easy to export for the project record. An AI layer can draft suggested responses, detect missing info (dimension, material spec, code note), and flag repeated questions that indicate a drawing coordination gap. The goal isn’t to replace BIM or full project management software; it’s to stop email threads and text messages from becoming the “system of record.” It integrates with Gmail/Outlook and common file storage so teams can adopt it without changing their entire workflow.
