DetourClock

DetourClock is a mobile + web app that focuses on the part of transit schedules that riders actually suffer from: temporary changes. Instead of showing the “official” timetable that’s often wrong during construction, events, or operator shortages, it aggregates service alerts, GTFS-realtime feeds, and user-confirmed observations to produce a “today-only” schedule for each stop and line. Riders can follow specific stops and get push notifications when headways blow out, a trip is canceled, or a detour changes boarding locations. The app also provides a simple reliability score per route segment and time-of-day, so users can choose a slightly longer but more dependable option. It’s not magic—coverage depends on agency data quality and enough local users—but where real-time feeds exist, it can be meaningfully better than generic trip planners at answering: ‘Will my bus actually come?’
