DeviceDocket is a mobile + web app that builds a living inventory of your smart-home and smart-office devices (cameras, locks, thermostats, plugs, hubs, routers). It pulls device identity, firmware version, cloud account linkage, warranty/receipt, and basic health signals, then turns that into actionable reminders: firmware updates, battery replacements, subscription renewals, and end-of-support dates. The app focuses on the unsexy reality: most people forget what they bought, where it’s installed, which account controls it, and when it stops getting security updates. Setup is pragmatic: scan QR codes/serials, import purchase emails, and optionally connect to common ecosystems (Google Home, Alexa, HomeKit, Matter) where available. It won’t magically fix vendor fragmentation, but it will reduce chaos, prevent “orphaned” devices, and make handoffs (moving, rentals, IT changes) far less painful.
