DialectDeck is a mobile + web AI app that teaches real-world regional speech: slang, politeness levels, filler words, and “what not to say” in specific cities and communities. Users pick a locale (e.g., Mexico City, Glasgow, Seoul office culture) and get short scenario cards: ordering food, negotiating rent, meeting a partner’s parents, workplace small talk. Each card includes natural audio, a few acceptable variations, and a quick cultural note explaining why a phrase lands well or badly. The app’s core is “rewrite my message”: paste a text/email/DM and select intent (friendly, firm, apologetic) and audience (peer, elder, boss). It outputs 2–3 options with risk flags (too blunt, too intimate, outdated slang). It’s not a full language course; it’s a practical layer on top of what learners already know, aimed at reducing awkward misunderstandings fast.
