DigDocket
DigDocket is a mobile + web app that helps small archaeology teams and local museums capture consistent, defensible object records the moment something is found or cataloged. It replaces messy notebooks, scattered photos, and inconsistent spreadsheets with a guided intake flow: context, measurements, materials, condition, photos, and chain-of-custody notes. An AI assistant suggests controlled vocabulary terms, flags missing fields, and generates a clean catalog entry and label text, but it never “authenticates” artifacts (that’s a legal and reputational minefield). The app exports to CSV and common collection formats, and creates a shareable, read-only “object packet” for grant reporting, lenders, or partner institutions. The goal is boring reliability: fewer lost details, fewer errors, faster cataloging, and better compliance with basic documentation standards.
