DirectNote

DirectNote is a mobile + web app for spiritual directors and directees to capture sessions, track themes, and stay accountable between meetings—without turning spirituality into a productivity gimmick. It offers structured session notes (movements of consolation/desolation, key moments, invitations, resistances), private journaling, and a lightweight “between sessions” check-in that the directee can share selectively. The app supports multiple traditions via configurable templates (Ignatian, contemplative, pastoral, interfaith) and keeps everything end-to-end encrypted so directors can confidently use it in real practice. It also includes consent-based sharing and export for record-keeping, while discouraging over-documentation with minimal prompts. This is not therapy software; it’s purpose-built for spiritual direction workflows that are currently handled with scattered notebooks, insecure email, or generic note apps.
