DiskPassport
DiskPassport is a desktop app (Windows/macOS/Linux) that creates a portable “health passport” for SSDs, HDDs, and external drives. It reads SMART/NVMe stats, logs temperature and power-on hours over time, and records key events like firmware updates, bad sector growth, and sudden performance drops. The app generates a shareable report for IT teams, refurbishers, and small businesses to decide whether a drive is safe for reuse, needs cloning, or should be retired. It also includes a simple risk score based on trend analysis (not magic predictions) and a checklist-driven workflow for drive intake: verify serial, run short/extended tests, and store results locally or in a small team workspace. This is not a data recovery tool; it’s a practical decision and documentation tool that reduces “unknown drive” risk.
