DNSSentry
DNSSentry is a web app (with a lightweight CLI agent) that continuously audits and monitors DNS zones across multiple providers (Cloudflare, Route 53, Azure DNS, Google Cloud DNS). It detects common, expensive-to-debug issues: dangling CNAMEs, missing/incorrect SPF/DKIM/DMARC, accidental wildcard exposure, subdomain takeover risk, TTL mistakes, split-horizon inconsistencies, and record drift between environments. It runs scheduled checks from multiple regions, stores change history, and alerts via Slack/PagerDuty with clear “what changed, why it matters, how to fix” guidance. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used to summarize incidents, propose safe remediations, and generate provider-specific runbooks—not to “guess” DNS. The product is intentionally narrow: fewer features than full observability suites, but deeper DNS-specific detection and faster time-to-fix for teams that keep getting burned by DNS.
