DocDecay
DocDecay is a web app (with Slack/Teams add-ons) that keeps internal knowledge bases accurate by continuously measuring “freshness” and forcing lightweight ownership. It scans your existing sources (Confluence, Notion, Google Drive, SharePoint, GitHub wikis) and builds a decay score per page based on age, traffic, linked systems, and detected contradictions. When content is likely wrong, it pings the owner with a 2-minute review workflow: confirm, update, deprecate, or redirect. It also adds a “trust badge” to every page (fresh, aging, stale, unowned) so readers know what to rely on. AI is used narrowly: summarizing changes, drafting update suggestions from recent tickets/PRs, and extracting owners from org directories—never pretending to be the source of truth. The goal is fewer outages, fewer repeated questions, and less time wasted on bad documentation.
