DocHunt

DocHunt is a web + desktop app that provides fast, reliable semantic search across internal documents (Google Drive, SharePoint, Dropbox, local folders, and PDFs). Instead of “chat with your docs” fluff, it focuses on one job: pinpointing the exact passage, version, and source you need, with citations you can trust. Users can search in natural language or with filters (date, owner, contract type, repository), then jump directly to highlighted matches inside the original file. It also detects near-duplicate documents, flags conflicting clauses across versions, and supports saved searches for recurring needs (e.g., “termination for convenience” or “data retention”). It’s an AI + traditional app: AI for embeddings and reranking, traditional indexing and permissions for speed and correctness. Realistically, it wins only if it’s faster and more trustworthy than existing enterprise search and “AI copilots.”
