DockDash is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard for partners) that predicts and verifies dock availability for bike-share and scooter corrals in dense areas. The core problem: riders waste time circling for an empty dock, then get hit with late fees or end trips far from their destination. DockDash combines crowdsourced “dock full/space available” check-ins with passive signals (user GPS dwell time near docks, trip-end attempts, time-of-day patterns) to generate a live confidence score per station. It also offers “Plan to Dock” routing that suggests the best station near your destination with a backup option, plus alerts when your target station is trending toward full. Realistically, this won’t replace operator data where it exists; it wins where data is missing, delayed, or unreliable, and where multiple operators overlap and users just want certainty.
