DockDash

DockDash is a mobile + web route-planning app for small trucking fleets and owner-operators who are tired of “car GPS” mistakes. It plans routes using truck-specific constraints (height/weight limits, hazmat restrictions, low bridges, toll preferences), but the real focus is dock appointment reliability. Drivers or dispatchers can attach a delivery window, expected unload time, and facility notes (gate codes, check-in process, where to stage). The app continuously re-plans based on traffic, weather, and HOS (hours-of-service) remaining, and warns early when a delivery will miss its window. It also generates a simple ETA message that can be sent to receivers without calling. The MVP avoids trying to be a full TMS; it’s a focused “get to the dock on time” planner with lightweight team sharing, proof-of-visit, and post-trip delay analytics to identify repeat problem facilities.
