DocketNudge

DocketNudge is a web + mobile app that helps self-represented litigants and small legal teams avoid missed court deadlines and hearing dates. Users enter a case number and jurisdiction (or manually add events), then the app builds a clean timeline of upcoming dates, required filings, and “what to do next” checklists. It sends escalating reminders (email/SMS/push) and provides plain-language explanations of common steps (e.g., service, continuances, filing proofs). It’s not a legal advice tool: it focuses on logistics, document readiness, and deadline hygiene. The MVP should start with a few high-volume jurisdictions and manual event entry, because court data quality and access vary widely. Over time, integrations with e-filing portals and public docket sources can reduce manual work, but the product must remain useful even without perfect automation.
