DocketNudge
DocketNudge is a web + mobile app for trial courts to cut failure-to-appear rates and last-minute continuances by automating plain-language notifications. It pulls upcoming hearings from the court’s calendar/export, then sends SMS/email/voice reminders with time, courtroom, parking/transit info, required documents, and a one-tap “I’m coming” confirmation. Defendants, witnesses, and jurors can ask simple questions via a constrained chatbot (hours, location, what to bring) without tying up the clerk’s office. The system flags high-risk cases (prior no-shows, long travel distance, language needs) and prompts staff to intervene early. It also provides audit logs and message templates approved by the court to avoid legal landmines. This is not glamorous, but it targets a measurable operational KPI courts actually care about: appearances and docket flow.
