DockingCalc

DockingCalc is a web + desktop app for planning and validating proximity-operations and rendezvous routes for small satellites and servicing missions. It helps operators design approach corridors, hold points, and abort paths while checking basic constraints like line-of-sight, relative velocity, keep-out zones, and lighting conditions. The MVP focuses on “good-enough” mission design for teams that can’t afford a full astrodynamics stack or weeks of analyst time. It ingests TLEs/ephemerides, lets users sketch a target-relative route, and runs fast feasibility checks with clear pass/fail explanations. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: traditional physics-based propagation and constraint checking, plus AI-assisted report generation and anomaly explanations (e.g., why a segment violates constraints). It will not replace high-fidelity GNC or certified flight software; it’s a planning and communication tool that reduces iteration time and mistakes.
