DockPilot

DockPilot is a mobile + tablet app (with optional web dashboard) for recreational boaters that provides step-by-step docking guidance inside marinas—where Google Maps is basically useless. It combines traditional navigation with AI: it uses high-accuracy GPS, phone sensors, and marina-specific “micro-maps” to guide you to your slip, suggest approach angles based on wind/current, and warn when you’re drifting off-line. Marinas can upload slip layouts, fairway widths, and no-go zones, while boaters get a simple “turn-by-turn but for docks” experience. The MVP focuses on a handful of partner marinas to ensure data quality and real-world validation. Monetization: boater subscription for premium guidance + marina SaaS for map hosting and guest navigation links. This is not a mass-market replacement for Waze; it’s a niche tool that solves a high-stress, expensive problem where incumbents are weak.
