DockPulse is a web + mobile operations app that tracks inbound/outbound truck appointments, live dock status, and detention risk across warehouses. It replaces spreadsheets, radio calls, and “where’s the truck?” chaos with a simple check-in flow: drivers scan a QR code at the gate, the yard/dock team updates status in one tap, and carriers get automatic time-stamped updates. The system flags when a load is approaching free-time limits and suggests the next best dock assignment based on door availability and load priority. It also generates detention-ready audit trails (arrival, check-in, door time, unload complete) to dispute fees or prove responsibility. This is not a full WMS/TMS; it’s a lightweight dock/yard layer that integrates with them. Expect messy data, inconsistent compliance, and change management—so the MVP must be dead simple and fast.
