DockSense
DockSense is a web + mobile app for facilities running mobile robots (AMRs/AGVs) that makes charging and docking reliability measurable. It connects to common robot fleets via APIs and/or reads inexpensive dock sensors (smart plugs, current clamps, BLE beacons) to detect: did the robot actually dock, did it start charging, how long until full, and how often it fails. The app turns messy logs into a simple “readiness” dashboard by robot, dock, and shift, with alerts when a robot is stranded, a charger is degraded, or a dock is misaligned. It also generates weekly reports for ops managers and maintenance: top failure causes, mean time to recover, and which docks are costing the most downtime. This is not glamorous, but it targets a boring, expensive problem: robots that should be working but are dead, half-charged, or blocking traffic.
