DockSlot

DockSlot is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps mid-market warehouses and 3PLs reduce carrier wait times, detention charges, and yard chaos by enforcing appointment-based dock scheduling with real-time check-in. It replaces spreadsheets, email chains, and “show up and hope” processes with a simple portal for carriers to book slots, upload BOL/ASN references, and receive gate instructions. On arrival, drivers check in via QR code or SMS link; the system timestamps events (arrived, in-yard, at-door, unloaded/loaded) to create defensible detention records and performance reporting. An AI layer flags likely late arrivals, predicts dock overruns based on historical door/service-time patterns, and suggests slot reassignments when disruptions happen. The MVP focuses on being easy to deploy: no WMS replacement, just integrations to pull inbound/outbound orders and push appointment IDs. The product lives or dies on adoption, so it includes carrier-friendly workflows, minimal logins, and automated reminders. This is not glamorous—it's operational plumbing—but it directly targets a measurable cost center and a daily headache for warehouse ops teams.
