DocLens
DocLens is a performance and cost observability tool for document databases that tells you which queries and document shapes are quietly burning money. You connect MongoDB or DocumentDB, and it samples query logs and collection stats to surface: top slow queries, missing/ineffective indexes, oversized documents, high-cardinality fields, and “hot” partitions. It then produces concrete, low-risk recommendations (index candidates, projection fixes, schema-shape warnings, TTL opportunities) and estimates the impact in latency and monthly spend. This is not a magical auto-tuner; it’s a pragmatic profiler that gives engineers a prioritized punch list with evidence. The product focuses on being safe: read-only access by default, redaction of sensitive fields, and exportable reports for PRs and tickets. It’s built for teams that already have a database running and need answers in hours, not weeks.
