DocSniffer

DocSniffer is a web app (with optional desktop agent) that indexes your organization’s scattered documents—PDFs, Word files, email exports, and shared-drive folders—and lets you retrieve exact clauses, definitions, and obligations with evidence. It’s built for “needle-in-a-haystack” retrieval: you can search by phrase, concept, or structured filters (date, author, contract type), and every result shows the original snippet, page number, and a confidence/explanation of why it matched. The product avoids the common trap of chat-only search by prioritizing traceable citations, deterministic keyword/boolean search, and optional AI semantic expansion when needed. An admin can set retention rules, access controls, and redaction patterns for sensitive fields. The goal is not to replace legal review or compliance work—just to cut the hours wasted hunting for the right paragraph and verifying it’s real.
