DocuHerit

DocuHerit is a mobile + web AI app that helps families and local communities digitize, organize, and preserve heritage materials without needing archival expertise. Users scan photos, letters, certificates, and memorabilia; the app auto-crops, enhances, and extracts text, then suggests dates, locations, and people to build a clean timeline. It generates “story cards” (short narratives with sources) that can be shared privately with relatives or exported for a local museum submission. The app focuses on accuracy and provenance: every claim is linked to the original scan, and uncertain details are clearly labeled. It also supports collaborative tagging so multiple relatives can resolve names and events. Realistically, the product wins by being simpler than genealogy tools and more structured than dumping files into Google Drive.
