DocuPulse

DocuPulse is a mobile + web AI app that helps documentary fans pick the right film fast, without spoilers or hype. It aggregates reviews, critic blurbs, festival notes, and user reactions, then generates a “truth-in-advertising” brief: what the doc is actually about, how biased it is, what it leaves out, and who will (and won’t) enjoy it. Users can set preferences (topics, pacing, tone, political slant tolerance, graphic content) and get ranked recommendations across major streaming services. Each title includes a credibility panel: sources cited in the film, contested claims, and links to reputable counterpoints. It also flags common disappointment triggers like “bait-and-switch,” “thin evidence,” or “sensationalized editing.” The goal isn’t to replace critics—it’s to save time and reduce regret in a space full of marketing-driven descriptions.
