DocuRights

DocuRights is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for sports documentary and film producers to quickly assess, track, and secure footage, music, and likeness rights. You upload a rough cut or shot list, and the app flags likely rights issues (broadcast clips, league logos, athlete appearances, stadium signage, music in background audio) and turns them into a clearance checklist with owners, contact paths, and evidence requests. It centralizes contracts, releases, cue sheets, invoices, and approval status so you can prove chain-of-title to distributors. It also generates standardized release forms and maintains an audit trail for legal review. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps identify risky segments and suggest probable rights holders, but humans still do the final legal decisions. It’s not glamorous, but it directly reduces expensive re-edits and deal-killing paperwork gaps.
