DocuTrail

DocuTrail is a web + mobile companion for documentary and docuseries viewers who want to know what’s true, what’s disputed, and what’s missing. While you watch, you can search an episode and jump to specific claims (names, dates, quotes, statistics). Each claim gets a confidence label and a short evidence card with primary sources (court filings, academic papers, government data, original interviews) plus reputable secondary coverage. An AI layer helps extract claims from transcripts and suggests sources, but every published card is human-reviewed to avoid hallucinations and defamation risk. Users can bookmark claims, share “receipts” links, and follow ongoing updates when new reporting changes the story. This is not a recap app; it’s a verification layer that respects nuance and cites sources so people can argue less and understand more.
