DocuTrail

DocuTrail is a mobile + web app that helps museums, local historians, and tourism offices publish self-guided heritage walks with evidence-backed stories. Creators pin stops on a map, attach archival photos, citations, and short audio narration, then publish a trail via QR codes placed on-site. Visitors follow the route, listen offline, and see “then vs now” overlays. An AI assistant helps draft summaries and audio scripts, but every claim must be linked to a source (archive link, book ISBN, museum catalog ID) and gets a visible “verification level” to avoid the usual misinformation problem in history apps. Monetization is realistic: B2B subscriptions for organizations (branding, analytics, multiple trails, team roles) plus optional per-trail ticketing for premium content. It’s not a mass consumer social network; it’s a practical publishing tool for institutions that already have content but lack modern delivery.
